Let's talk about mood boards

We don’t know about you, but one of the thing we like most about the creative process is what we call the planning stage. It’s this moment at the beginning of a project where you have a vague idea of what you want to create and you start to research and try new ways to reach your goal.

And that’s the moment where a mood board comes into play!

Every time one is created, we found that they truly were an invaluable part of the creative process. It’s the perfect way to visually communicate an idea while keeping clear on how you want the end result to feel and look like. That clarity and focus is a tremendous help when going on any creative endeavour. Especially if you’re planing on designing your own wardrobe or even simply choosing fabric options for sewing a garment.

Plus mood boards are great for finding motivation to follow through and actually make your next project a reality.

This is the reason why we wanted to create a regular series of monthly posts featuring mood boards. The goal is to make you dream, fuel your inspiration and give you the spark to maybe start something new.

Mood board of the month

After staying at home for a couple of month during the COVID pandemic and seeing all our holiday plan fall apart because of the travel restrictions, places we dream to visit become our inspiration. Marrakech and its lush Majorelle garden is definitely one of them. The bold colours on every wall, the lavish exotic plants, the beautiful craftsmanship on potteries and windows makes us long to escape and visit this magical place.

We hope you liked this new series and we are looking forward to show you what we have planned for the next one! Show us your mood boards and the resulting creation using #moodboardswithwearologie
